What I know, understand, and wonder about food, water, and air at the beginning of Science 8.

Matter is anything that has weight. Matter can be felt. This world is made up of matter. The rocks, sea, trees, land… Matter can also transform. If you melt an ice cube (a solid), it becomes water (a liquid). Matter has molecules or cells or something of that sort. At least the non living matter can be transformed. Some are harder to transform, while some are easier. Food, water, and air are all matter. You can feel all of them, and they have some weight. Air might have very less weight, but it still has it. My biggest wondering is how or why? Why is matter able to transform? How is it so important? I know there is something much deeper about matter, but I don’t know what it is. That’s my deepest wondering about this unit.
